On March 18, 2021, an article about explosive ordnance clearance along the A16 near the Moerdijk Bridges was published on the website www.windparkklaverspoor.nl by Vattenfall. Several explosives from World War II were found and safely disposed of during this investigation. The purpose of the explosive ordnance clearance is to clear the area so that the construction of wind turbines can proceed safely.
