18. River Casemate II photographed from the rear.

A German photograph of River Casemate II in Willemsdorp taken after the May days of 1940. The casemate bears the painted insignia of Fallschirmjäger Regiment 1. Striking is the sign reading: “Photography prohibited. Misuse will be severely punished.” Apparently this rule did not apply to the German soldier who took the picture.
