German soldiers with a pontoon boat in the harbor of Papendrecht.

German soldiers on a pontoon boat in the harbor of Papendrecht. The pontoons may well be Dutch pontoons from the Corps of Army Maritime Engineers (Korps Pontonniers en Torpedisten), who were also stationed in Dordrecht and Papendrecht. The equipment of the Army Maritime Engineers Corps was seized by the Germans after the capitulation, just like much other military equipment.
