7. Zwijndrecht during the Second World War, war damage resulting from the events of May 1940

This photograph shows German vehicles, taken from the Zwijndrecht side. On the right, extensive war damage is still visible, most likely on the grounds of the Chemproha chemical factory. Between the buildings, the bridge can still be seen. The photo was probably taken shortly after, or during, the May days of 1940.
