4. A German paratrooper on the Zwijndrecht bridge during the Second World War in Dordrecht

This photograph shows a German paratrooper posing on the Zwijndrecht bridge. In the background, the faint outlines of the bridge at the Noord can still be seen, and something appears to be on fire. The paratrooper is wearing a Dutch ammunition pouch on his belt for carbine rounds. It is an interesting and rarely seen image.
