13. German paratroopers near a captured 7‑veld gun of I‑17 R.A. in Willemsdorp.

In this photograph, German paratroopers can be seen near a captured gun of I‑17 R.A. The guns had been positioned in the fields along the Vlaakweg and were seized in the early morning of 10 May 1940 by paratroopers of Fallschirmjäger Regiment 1. The Germans subsequently used the guns themselves during the May days. These are likely paratroopers of the II Battalion.
