1. Abwurfbehälters are dropped at the Tweede Tol in Dordrecht during the Second World War

On this photo, you can see the dropping of the so-called “Abwurfbehälters”. These are the transport containers in which the necessary supplies for the paratroopers were stored, allowing them to continue the fight. In this first photo, Dutch prisoners of war can be seen watching the dropping.
