31. The field grave of paratrooper Karl Jarosch in Wielwijk during May 1940

The photograph shows the paratrooper field grave of Oberjäger Karl Jarosch of 11./FJR 1. The photo was taken somewhere in Wieldrecht during the May days of 1940. Oberjäger Jarosch was killed by Dutch mortar fire during the night of 12 to 13 May 1940. He is now buried at the German military cemetery in Ysselsteyn, in row CO – grave 168. 1
