74. German parachutist graves at the General Cemetery in Dordrecht in May 1940

This photo shows several paratrooper graves at the General Cemetery in Dordrecht in May 1940. Shown here are the graves of, on the left: Obergefreiter Wilhelm Seiffert, and on the right: Gefreiter Erich Botcher, both from 3./FJR 1. This company was almost completely wiped out in the Polder in Krispijn by Dutch troops of the Railway Troops and the Corps Army Maritime Engineers. The middle grave with the paratrooper helmet is presumably also a member of 3./FJR 1.
