Five German war graves at the General Cemetery in Dordrecht.

The graves of Bernhard Wipprecht, Richard Heinemann, Kurt Gross, Karl Jarosch and Kurt Schulze at the General Cemetery in Dordrecht.

Richard Heinemann: Feldwebel Heinemann belonged to the 1st Company of Pioneer Battalion 22 (1./PiBtl.22.). The company was deployed in support of Fallschirmjäger Regiment 1. Feldwebel Heinemann was moved to Dordrecht in the evening of 10 May. It is unclear where he was killed. He may have been wounded at Moerdijk and died in the emergency hospital at the Tweede Tol. His grave cross in any case lists Dubbeldam as his place of death on 11 May 1940.

Kurt Gross: Jäger Kurt Gross belonged to 2./FJR.1 and landed with his company at the Tweede Tol. He was killed during the assault on the barracks camp there on 10 May 1940.

Karl Jarosch: Oberjäger Karl Jarosch belonged to 11./FJR.1. This company was deployed at Wieldrecht on 12 May and then moved to the Tweede Tol. According to the report of 11./FJR.1, Oberjäger Jarosch was killed around midnight at Wieldrecht as a result of Dutch mortar fire. This was probably on the Wieldrechtse Zeedijk or at least somewhere between the Tweede Tol and the junction at the Schenkeldijk.

Kurt Schulze: Feldwebel Schulze belonged to Fjr. Geschütz Batterie 7. In the late evening of 10 to 11 May 1940, part of this battery was moved to Willemsdorp, and a vehicle carrying Skoda artillery drove into a Dutch roadblock there. Three people were in the vehicle. Oberleutnant Schram was seriously wounded in this accident and was treated at the Berkenhof near the Tweede Tol. Feldwebel Schulze was his orderly and was killed in the accident. It is unknown what happened to the driver.

Whose grave is located to the right of Feldwebel Schulze’s grave is unknown.
