This photo shows the funeral of a German soldier during the Second World War in Dordrecht. In this first photo, the old funeral hall is clearly visible, which still stands at the Essenhof today. The coffin is carried by several German soldiers who are bringing it to its final resting place. It is clearly visible that the funeral is being conducted with extensive military ceremony. It is unknown which German unit is involved here and when exactly this funeral took place.
