14. Severe damage in Willemsdorp following the fighting of May 1940

This photograph clearly illustrates the extent of the war damage caused by the fighting in Willemsdorp in May 1940. Most of the destruction was inflicted by Dutch artillery, which shelled the hamlet from positions in the Hoeksche Waard.
