Field post card – Forget me not – 31 January 1940
*“To the Soldier
M. Ripzaad
3‑III‑27 R.I., Light Division
South Field Post Office 5
Theo, I’m sending you a little message. Roze was here yesterday; he will surely write to you about it. You may have a new lamp. Now he has bent the little legs of that lamp even more. At first it didn’t work, but now it does again. So I’ll still have to deal with it. But I told him exactly how things stand. Now Theo, you won’t be coming for coffee if you’re allowed to come home on Sunday, because everything is perfectly in order. Now Theo, I’ll finish here, and send you my warm greetings and a kiss from Annie. I will certainly write again. Now I really say goodbye. Goodbye Theo. Until Sunday. Goodbye.”
