Field post Mobilisation Zwijndrecht
Although there is a separate page for military field post, a large batch of field‑post correspondence was recently added to the collection from a soldier from Zwijndrecht. The letters are correspondence between conscripted soldier M. Ripzaad (also called Theo), who served with 3‑III‑27 R.I. He writes to his beloved Geertje den Hartog, living at Onderdijkse Rijweg 263 in Zwijndrecht. From the correspondence it appears that she had a child named Annie. The letters show that Theo Ripzaad and Geertje den Hartog wrote to each other regularly, and that Theo occasionally came home to Zwijndrecht on leave.
