Field mail from a military person in Sliedrecht - March 10, 1940
This postcard is from a soldier of the 2nd Company, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Border Battalion, who is writing to his family in Sliedrecht. The card was written on March 10, 1940 (2 months before the German invasion) and sent from Roosendaal to Sliedrecht on March 11. The soldier writes:
“Dear parents, I want to let you know that everything is still going excellently for me. If all goes well, I will be coming home next Wednesday. How is everything going with all of you? Is everyone feeling better now? I hope everything is improving. I have no further news. Greetings to everyone from your son and brother. Henk! Goodbye!
