Field post Mobilisation Sliedrecht

Although there is a separate page for military field post, a large batch of field‑post correspondence was recently added to the collection of a soldier from Sliedrecht. The material consists of field‑post items from two different individuals.

The first few cards are from torpedist Jan Koppelaar. He was called up on 17 June 1929 as a regular conscript of the 1929 draft from Sliedrecht. Jan served with the Korps Pontonniers en Torpedisten (Army Maritime Engineers) – School Company Torpedists. He wrote to his wife, Miss P. Koppelaar‑Visser, living at A294 in Sliedrecht.

The remaining correspondence is to and from conscripted soldier Henk J. de Jager. He writes, among others, to family in Sliedrecht and to his parents. Henk served with 2‑2‑3 G.B.
