Message from the Wehrmachtskommandantur Dordrecht
This document is an order from the Wehrmachtskommandantur Dordrecht to the municipality of Dordrecht. In all towns with more than 1000 inhabitants, without an Ortskommandantur, a sign should be placed at the entrances, clearly stating to German military personnel that they are not allowed to arrange billeting on their own without permission from the Wehrmacht Command. The size of the sign is even specified in the document. Below this sign, a directional sign should be placed indicating the location of the Mayor’s office.
