26. “Song of Thanksgiving for the Liberation
This document is a church booklet from May 1945, printed in the first days after the liberation. The front makes clear that it contains the text of a sermon delivered on 6 May 1945 – the first Sunday after Germany’s capitulation. The sermon is based on Isaiah 25:4–5 and was preached in the Reformed Church of Sliedrecht. The author, Dr. P. Prins, was a minister in Dordrecht.
