Below you can see examples of registration cards. In order to provide the entire population with food during times of scarcity, the Dutch government decided to implement rationing. They used registration cards for this purpose. This ensured fair distribution of essential food items. These are two examples of the first type of registration cards issued to two residents of Dordrecht.
