4. Tegelaar Kepi Model 1928 - Blue Piping, 17th Infantry Regiment
This kepie was made by the firm Paulus Tegelaar from Dordrecht. It is a kepie with two blue pipings and the numbers 1 and 7, which stands for the regiment number 17. The kepie has a metal cockade and is therefore intended for a soldier of the 17th Infantry Regiment. Inside the kepie, there is a stamp of P. Tegelaar. It is a different variant stamp than the above examples. Additionally, a name is written in the kepie: C. de Bruijn - 2nd Company. The kepie is well-worn and missing the sweatband. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful example. The 17th Infantry Regiment was a wartime regiment, formed from the 6th Infantry Regiment. Many soldiers in the latter regiment were born in the Dordrecht region.
