2. Tegelaar Kepi Model 1928 - Red piping
This kepi is made by the hat factory P. Tegelaar from Dordrecht. It is a kepi with red piping. The cockade is made of metal, indicating that it was for an enlisted or concscripted soldier. This kepi features a lion emblem and does not have a regiment number. Therefore, it is likely that this kepi was used by a member of the Corps of Army Maritime Engineers. The Tegelaar stamp is visible on the inside, although in this case, it is a different type of stamp than what is found on most Tegelaar kepis. There is also a number stamped on the sweatband: 157862, which purpose is unknown. Judging by the color and type of fabric, this kepi is likely an earlier fabricated model from the early 1930s.
